Mr. Robert Boateng
Board Chairman
Mr. Robert Boateng is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master of Business Administration (Marketing Option) from Methodist University College. He has over 20 years of working experience in the Insurance Industry in Ghana having previously worked with Enterprise Insurance from 2004 to 2017, Donewell Insurance from 2017 to 2021 before joining EMWA in 2022.
Ms Fanny Nana Ampon
Board Memeber
Ms Fanny Nana Ampon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Linguistics from the University of Ghana and a Master of Arts degree in Public Affairs from the same University.
She leverages on over 12 years’ experience in Journalism/Storytelling and Development Communication to enhance visibility for organizations. Her niche has been in Integrated Marketing Communication, Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, Media Relations and Journalism (both print and broadcast). Fanny is a Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards Recipient for Best Report on Human Rights. And an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana.
As a National Service person with the Graphic Communications Group Limited, Fanny reported extensively on child rights issues and regularly wrote feature articles for publication. She has also worked with the Ghana Wildlife Society as its Communications Officer where she developed and implemented the organization’s annual communication and visibility plan and led media and public relations efforts.
At the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation — the state broadcaster where she worked for eight years, Fanny reported extensively on the Environment, Education, Courts and Crimes Reporting, the Sustainable Development Goals as a member of the United Nations Development Program, UNDP-Ghana press corps. She was a key reporter during the 2012 landmark election petition in Ghana.
Ms Ampon subsequently moved to the USAID/Ghana Sustainable Fisheries Management Project as its Communications and Media Relations Officer. Fanny has also worked as the Communications Manager for Solidaridad West Africa in Ghana, where she was responsible for both internal and external communications.
Prior to joining Fairtrade Africa, Fanny was the Development Communication Expert for the World Bank funded Africa Environmental Pollution Management Programme being implemented by Ghana’s Environmental Protection Agency.
At Fairtrade Africa, she oversees communications for its flagship Dignified Opportunities Nurtured Through Trade and Sustainability (DONUTS) Programme in the Western, Eastern and Southern African regions.
Richard Oti
Head, Research and Development
Richard Oti is a Ghanaian educator, researcher, and development practitioner with over a decade of experience spanning education, applied research, and programme implementation. He currently serves as Head of Research and Development at Brics Africa Consulting. In this role, Richard leads the design and execution of research strategies, market studies, programme frameworks, proposal writing, and impact evaluations.
He holds an MPhil, a bachelor’s degree, and professional certificates in project management, NGO management, and research methodologies. These academic and professional credentials, combined with extensive field experience, enable him to translate complex development and market challenges into practical, evidence-informed solutions.
Richard’s professional background includes working with public institutions, NGOs, and academic institutions. He has served as an associate lecturer, delivering university-level instruction and supporting student research in education and development-related subjects. He has also led initiatives focused on school access, youth development, and community-led systems strengthening. In the corporate space, Richard applies his analytical skills to generate research that helps organisations understand market behaviour, customer trends, and stakeholder engagement.
At Brics Africa Consulting, he brings a unique ability to combine academic rigour with grounded insight. His work is guided by a commitment to relevance, participation, and data-driven impact qualities that continue to shape meaningful outcomes for clients and communities across Ghana and beyond.
Emmanuel Laryea Adjei
Board Member
Thomas Boateng is a Finance graduate from the University of Ghana, with a strong academic foundation in business and financial management. He currently serves as the Digital Marketing and Business Development Executive at Brics Africa Consulting Limited, where he plays a key role in driving brand visibility and identifying strategic growth opportunities for the firm.
With a keen interest in technology and innovation, Thomas is actively advancing his skills in Data Analytics to support data-driven strategies and enhance business performance. His blend of analytical insight and creative marketing expertise positions him as a valuable asset in delivering impactful solutions to clients across various sectors.
